Ringing in the ears

The noise in the ears is known as tinnitus, defined as the perception or hearing of a sound in one or both ears, or throughout the head, without a known source.
It is a symptom, not a disease, occurring equally in men and women. It can have up to 600 triggers or conditions, with 90% of cases accompanied by some degree of hearing loss (medically termed as hypoacusis), while in 10% of cases, it does not manifest with hearing loss.
In most cases, the noise in the ears is a benign bodily perception, but in some individuals, it can become a very bothersome and disturbing condition.
Many people repeat the mantra: "it has no cure," "there is no solution," "you will have to get used to it," but the reality is that tinnitus can be treated, and quality of life can improve significantly.
While there is no treatment to make this symptom disappear, science provides highly effective options for managing this bothersome condition. These therapies have proven to be very effective in reducing the discomfort caused by tinnitus and leading the patient to habituation, the human ability to adapt and filter out irrelevant stimuli (in this case, sounds), diverting attention to disguise the perception of noise in the ears.
Each case is different, and for the treatment of noise in the ears, a comprehensive evaluation is necessary, requiring the interdisciplinary intervention of a professional team composed of audiologists, medical professionals, and psychologists at the very least.
Therapies that have proven effective in managing noise in the ears, supported by scientific studies, include sound therapy, behavioral therapy, sound enrichment with hearing aids, bimodal neuromodulation, and multidisciplinary intervention.
Noise in the ears can be treated, and quality of life can improve. People who claim it has no solution are possibly misinformed and are conveying a negative and pessimistic message, worsening the condition of those who pay attention to such statements because tinnitus is reinforced by stress and is intimately related to anxiety and depression.
Free to play sounds to suppress your tinnitus.
It is recommended that you seek professional assistance from an audiologist with proven experience in tinnitus management. In the meantime, if the noise is very bothersome and hinders your enjoyment of life, has reduced your ability to rest, and you have difficulty sleeping, use these sounds to play and reduce the perception of your tinnitus. If using headphones, do not exceed 60% of the volume, and do not use them for more than an hour without auditory rest.
The composite sound can mask and divert the attention that the brain devotes to the tinnitus, thus providing relief to detoxify you from the sensation of hearing the noise in your ears.
