Hearing and hearing loss

The sense of hearing allows us to be in contact with other people, hearing loss isolates us, depresses us and reduces communication with our environment.

Ear function

The human ear works 24 hours a day, the ear picks up the sound wave and directs it to the ear canal, then passes to the tympanic membrane, later it is transmitted to the inner ear through the holes of the middle ear. Already in the inner ear, the sound is transformed into a bioelectric impulse and travels through the auditory nerve, reaching the cerebral cortex, where it is interpreted.
